To find out the total unallocated space on the drive, we need to add the size of each partition and compare it with the total size of the drive. In this case, the partitions, sda1 and sda2 add up to 256059113472 bytes. This gives us a difference of 1400832 bytes which is equivalent to 1.3 MB. 4. Using GParted.
When trying to add a new volume (or extend another volume) using the unallocated space, it's as if there is no space at all. What can I do? P.s. there was some sort of warning when I first tried to extend the volume of drive F. I think it was about the fact that the basic volume is being converted to dynamic and if so an OS cannot be installed.

Drive 0 Partition 3: for storage - 4TB minus 350MB minus 240GB; I cannot accomplish this. First of all, Windows Setup has split my HDD into two "Unallocated Spaces". 0 Unallocated space on drive comes when drive lost its file system and unable to locate data location in the storage drive. There is only one option to resolve this issue is by clean formatting of the drive. Either you can format the drive by going to the disk management or use diskpart to clean the drive and redefine the file system.
Partition 1 - Recovery. Partition 2 - System - The EFI System partition that contains the NTLDR, HAL, Boot.txt, and other files that are needed to boot the system, such as drivers. Partition 3 - MSR - The Microsoft Reserved (MSR) partition that reserves space on each disk drive for subsequent use by operating system software.
